Maiden Voyage’s LGBTQ+ traveler safety training equips employees with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to navigate global business travel safely. With same-sex relations criminalised in over 60 countries, business travel presents distinct security considerations. Co-delivered by allies and LGBTQ+ safety specialists with lived experience, this interactive course addresses cultural and legal landscapes, emergency protocols, and impactful safety advice and includes specific transgender safety advice, giving LGBTQ business travellers and their managers actionable risk mitigations without compromising personal confidentiality.
This course is tailored towards the specific risks faced by LGBTQ+ travellers within your organisation, industry and traveller profiles. It incorporates any relevant internal resources, taking into account the level of experience of your business travellers and the destinations which they plan to visit. We also offer the option to include in specific anonymous case studies of incidents that have taken place amongst your business travel community to raise awareness and stimulate action to prevent further similar incidents from occurring.
Under legal Duty of Care obligations and the international ISO 31030 Guidline for travel risk management, organisations are required to identify, assess, and manage risks specific to their business travellers. Maiden Voyage’s Female Traveller Safety Awareness Training provides corporate HR, security, and travel risk teams with a practical solution to meet these compliance guidelines, ensuring female employees are empowered and supported on every assignment.
For small groups of business travellers or for those who have specific or sensitive business travel concerns we provide, private, tailored 1:1 pre-travel safety briefings.
“I really appreciated how contextualized the LGBTQ+ Traveler Safety training was to our portfolio of countries, and how comprehensive it was in terms of all the ways that we need to consider and be aware of our safety and identity.” [Aid Sector NGO]
