After a 20+ year leading tech teams for brands such as BBC, ITV and easyJet, Carolyn left her corporate career to launch Maiden Voyage where she can indulge her passions for tech, travel and empowering other women.
She holds a degree in Business and IT, an MBA and is an alumnus of Cranfield School of Management.
Carolyn sits on the GBTA European Risk Committee and is a trustee of domestic violence charity Refuge.
Erica has a passion for developing female talent in the business arena. As the Operations Manager, she is Carolyn’s ‘right hand woman’ covering everything from account management, new business, overseeing key projects as well as delivering training for blue-chip clients. She loves meeting new people and hearing other people’s experiences.
Erica enjoys holidays with her husband James and step children, George and Sophie as well as UK short breaks with their dog, Puggles!
Lyndsey joined Maiden Voyage in October 2016 and is Carolyn’s PA. Prior to joining, Lyndsey enjoyed an 11-year career in Pensions as a PA / Secretarial Manager. She brought many skills from her previous role and achieved a promotion Carolyn’s EA in 2019.
Lyndsey’s main focus is to take as much pressure off of Carolyn as she can, freeing up her time to enable her to ‘bring home the bacon!’ as well as being the go-to person for hotels looking for female-friendly accreditation. Yearly sunshine breaks to Spain are a must for Lyndsey, along with her partner Jack and their boys Harry and Leo.
Lynn has a lifelong passion for travel, over a 30-year career she has accomplishments in Airline, TMC and Corporate Travel environments most recently as Global Travel Strategy and New Business Manager for Shell International.
Experience and strategic leadership of multimillion-dollar travel, meeting and event spend, to deliver value, operational excellence and risk mitigation to various organisations. A keen advocate of diverse traveller strategy within travel programmes, uncompromising on safety, ethics and compliance.
Anna is the freelance editor for Maiden Voyage and lives on the south coast.
In her spare time Anna loves to read, cook, and travel to new places.
Her favourite trip so far was a two-week road trip along the Pacific coast line in California.
Sue Williams QPM is an experienced hostage negotiator who works on some of the most high profile and dangerous hostage situations across the world.
She negotiates in war zones, on the high-seas with modern pirates, and on behalf of high net-worth families. She is a visiting lecturer at Harvard University and an Associate Fellow at the University of Oxford’s Said Business School.
Using her wealth of experience, Sue delivers travel safety training, keynote speeches and Chairs conferences.
Angélique Lecorps is a political and security consultant with extensive experience advising and reporting on hostile and fragile environments.
Angélique has worked with government agencies, NGOs, think tanks and multinational corporations, including in travel risk management, and previously worked as a translator and interpreter.
She has media experience and has taken part in conferences, security panels, and high-profile public events. She delivers travel safety training to the NGO and private sectors in both English and French.
Josephine specialises in international operations, including safety and security. Josephine has lived and worked in 25+ countries across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the Pacific.
Josephine has managed large complex operations with focus on management of team safety and security, especially in insecure contexts. She has direct experience of managing individual security incidents, managing and supporting teams throughout.
She has developed, led and delivered training related to international operations and team safety globally.
Tony trained as an accountant and spent much of his career in finance and latterly operational roles in the Corporate sphere with manufacturing, service, health and telecoms companies including Halma, Tunstall and Cable & Wireless where he was Executive Director.
Tony has also backed a number of start-ups and SME’s as well as supporting a number of NHS, Elderly Care and Housing Charities.
Laurence’s experience spans over 20 years as Marketing executive at world-class organisations like LinkedIn, AOL, Orange or Pipedrive, one of the fastest growing B2B SaaS vendors.
She is a marketer at heart, customer-obsessed, fond of product design and branding. She brings a unique expertise of performance marketing and growth hacking and possesses a deep knowledge of SaaS financial models.
Laurence also holds Non exec and Board positions and is the UK Director of OneRagtime.
Genevieve is a successful sales director with over twenty years of experience in the technology industry, in consulting, services and solutions. Her coaching approach has resulted in high levels of team engagement and consistent team over achievement.
At Dell Technologies, she leads the Global Alliances Services business for EMEA. Previously she has held various leadership and account management roles in Symantec, Charteris and Logica (CGI).
Genevieve holds a first-class honours degree in Computing from the University of Ulster.
A senior technology leader, Emma has 20+ years’ experience working for household names.
Most recently Emma was Managing Director of SAP Concur, where she championed employee engagement, talent development and inclusion.
With a passion for coaching, Emma now has a portfolio career working with individuals and organisations. Emma’s business inspir’em helps start-ups and individuals grow through strategic thinking, strategy and development.
Emma is a member of the female founder network Angel Academe, and also commercial advisor to nuggets – a blockchain fintech.
