The Leopold, Sheffield

The Leopold, Sheffield, a 2017 addition to Maiden Voyage's certified 'female friendly' hotels, generously donated a selection of hotel beds to the Sheffield charity St Vincent's. St Vincent’s’ Furniture Store accepts donations of household furniture and gives these items free of charge to the vulnerable and people coming out of homelessness in Sheffield.

Duvets donated to Calderdale Smartmove

Oulton Hall

Oulton Hall, Leeds, one of Maiden Voyage’s certified ‘female friendly’ hotels, jumped at the opportunity to get involved by donating items such as duvet’s, pillows and furniture from bedrooms that were undergoing refurbishment to Calderdale Smartmove, a charity that supports the homeless and the vulnerably house. By donating their old duvets and pillows, not only did Oulton Hall help the environment by recycling, they also helped those who are most vulnerable.

Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport

The team at Maiden Voyage kindly helped us to find a suitable partner to work with during our recent refurbishment here at Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport. Calderdale Smartmove and Emmaus helped us clear and find a home for furniture that was in good condition but not a part of our recent refurbishment plan. It ensured that we helped the most disadvantaged as well as being responsible in our disposal of items that would be not necessarily fully recyclable.
