Oulton Hall, Leeds

Oulton Hall, Leeds, one of Maiden Voyage’s certified ‘female friendly’ hotels, jumped at the opportunity to get involved by donating items such as duvet’s, pillows and furniture from bedrooms that were undergoing refurbishment to Calderdale Smartmove, a charity that supports the homeless and the vulnerably house. By donating their old duvets and pillows, not only did Oulton Hall help the environment by recycling, they also helped those who are most vulnerable.

Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport

The team at the Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport worked with Calderdale Smartmove and Emmaus helped to find a home for furniture that was in good condition but not a part of their recent refurbishment plan. It ensured that the Clayton Hotel Manchester helped the most disadvantaged as well as being responsible in their disposal of items that would be not necessarily fully recyclable.

The Leopold Hotel, Sheffield

The Leopold, Sheffield, one of our certified 'female friendly' hotels, generously donated a selection of hotel beds to the Sheffield charity St Vincent's. St Vincent’s’ Furniture Store accepts donations of household furniture and gives these items free of charge to the vulnerable and people coming out of homelessness in Sheffield.
